Marymead Vision and Mission

The Marymead Vision:

To be a centre of excellence and innovation, providing services to all Canberra children and families in need.

The Marymead Mission:

Caring for Children, Supporting Families, Building Community

Marymead is committed to working alongside the most vulnerable and disadvantaged in our community to provide hope and positive change.

A non-profit child and family service, Marymead is part of the social justice mission of the Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn and is inspired by the Christian values of human dignity and compassion.

We achieve our mission by:

  1. Responding effectively to the individual needs of people from a diversity of backgrounds;
  2. Providing timely, caring and high quality services in a safe environment;
  3. Maintaining a strong team of innovative and committed staff working within an ethical framework;
  4. Resourcing service programs to ensure quality of outcomes;
  5. Promoting community and government awareness and commitment to emerging community needs;
  6. Developing effective partnerships with government, non-government and the community to provide necessary child and family services to the Canberra region;
  7. Establishing and maintaining effective management structures and processes.
