Multicultural Health Communication Service

NSW Multicultural Health Communication Service (Multicultural Communication) provides information and services to assist health professionals to communicate with non English speaking communities throughout New South Wales. There are over 450 publications on health in a wide range of languages and a new publication is produced each month. Some multilingual resources produced by other services are also listed on this website and there are links to related websites.

NSW Transcultural Mental Health Service

The Transcultural Mental Health Centre, established in 1993 as a statewide service, promotes access to mental health services for people of non-English speaking background (NESB).

The Centre also works with consumers, carers, health professionals and the community to encourage positive attitudes to mental health.

The Thomas Wright Institute

The Thomas Wright Institute (TWI) is a not-for-profit organisation that provides a range of consultation, training and support services for both non-government and government organisations. It also provides direct assessment and treatment services for children, young people and their families. The common thread in the work of TWI is the development of effective therapeutic and support services for clients with complex needs and challenging behaviours. Services are provided for organisations in the child welfare, education, disability, juvenile justice and mental health fields.

TWI is an agency of the Catholic Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn and is operated by the Board of Management of the Marymead Child and Family Centre.
