Camilla RowlandChief Executive Officer
For the past 26 years I have worked in the community services and health sectors in executive, management, clinical, and educational roles and was appointed CEO of Marymead in August 2015. Prior to my appointment to Marymead, I was CEO of a drug and alcohol rehabilitation organisation in the ACT and surrounding NSW region (which included a family program), and Executive Director of the Community Services Division of a large charity. I am passionate about a community development approach benefitting vulnerable children, young people and families, which seeks to develop collaboration across health and community services and the not-for-profit/commercial sectors, as well as addressing cross-sector and cross jurisdictional border challenges.
I have worked in regional, rural and national movements in the sectors, as well as experience with the development of partnerships both local and rural. As part of my commitment to transforming the lives of vulnerable people, I am currently President of the ACT Council of Social Services and previously President of Families ACT, Vice President of the Alcohol and Other Drugs Association ACT, and the ACT delegate to the Friends of the National Rural Health Alliance.
I am a graduate of AICD (the Australian Institute of Company Directors) and hold a Bachelor degree in Social Welfare (social work), post graduate qualifications in adult education and executive leadership, and a human resources management advanced certificate.
