Camilla RowlandChief Executive Officer
For the past 30 years I have worked in the community services and health sectors in executive, management, clinical, and educational roles and was appointed CEO of Marymead in August 2015. Prior to my appointment to Marymead, I was CEO of a drug and alcohol rehabilitation and Executive Director of the Community Services Division of a large charity. I am passionate about a community development approach benefitting vulnerable children, young people, families and the community which seeks to develop collaboration across health and community services and the not-for-profit/commercial sectors, as well as addressing cross-sector and cross jurisdictional border challenges.
I have worked in regional, rural and national movements in the sectors, as well as experience with the development of partnerships both local and rural. As part of my commitment to transforming the lives of vulnerable people, I have held a number of Board roles on not-for-profit organisations and am currently Chair of Playgroups Australia. Other recent Board roles have included President of the ACT Council of Social Services, President of Families ACT, Vice President of the Alcohol and Other Drugs Association ACT, and Board member of OzHelp Foundation.
I am a graduate of AICD (the Australian Institute of Company Directors) with an Executive MBA, Bachelor Degree in Social Welfare (social work), post graduate qualifications in adult education and executive leadership, and a human resources management qualification.
