I have over 20 years’ experience in the community sector, including direct service and 14 years in community sector management roles. Areas of expertise include policy advocacy and communication, organisational development and quality management. Areas of direct service expertise include homelessness, domestic violence and family support. I have have strong project leadership, coordination, and organisational planning skills. I also have a strong track record in delivering projects to support organisation and service improvement. I support innovation and work that is driven by evidence and a strong values base and am passionate about working towards social justice to bring about change in communities.
I commenced employment at Marymead in 2012 and I am the Systems & Administration Unit Manager. I have also previously worked at the YWCA of Canberra as Unit Manager, Advocacy, Membership and Organisational Support Program Manager, Family Housing Outreach Service 2000-2004 YWCA of Canberra, Housing Support Worker, Family Housing Outreach Service 1998-2000.
I have a Bachelor of Applied Science in Health Education, University of Canberra 1994 Accredited CARE Trainer and I am also a member of the General Committee, ACT Council of Social Services.
