Family Skills Program
The Family Skills Program offers a variety of relationship development and parenting education and support services for mums and dads and a support network for grandparents raising grandchildren. These services are delivered primarily through groups which aim to assist those in a parenting role to improve their parenting skills and strengthen relationships with their children and partners.
Support for Mums
Parenting groups for women are run during the day and we offer assistance with transport if needed. Limited crèche places are available during session times and lunch and morning tea is provided. A copy of the current Women’s Program is below.

Support for Dads
Parenting groups for men are run in the evening and we offer assistance with transport and childcare costs and an evening meal is provided at all sessions. A copy of the current Men’s Program is below.

Limited face-to-face counselling is also offered for dads in crisis.
Grandparents Support Network
Marymead currently works in partnership with Relationships Australia Canberra and Region and Canberra Mothercraft Society to offer support and education to grandparents raising their grandchildren. Grandparents meet monthly over lunch, attend regular outings and all members receive a monthly newsletter. The current meeting schedule is included in the Women’s Program below.
