Indigenous Children's Program
About This Program
The aim of the Indigenous Children’s Program is to provide strengths based family support to Indigenous families living in the Canberra and Queanbeyan regions. How We Work / Who Can Use This Program
The program is focused on meeting the individual needs of families in a culturally aware and sensitive manner. The program also aims at working collaboratively with existing Indigenous service organizations, as well as mainstream services, to ensure that families have access to as many supports and services as they may need. Working closely with other service providers also eliminates the possibility of duplicating services. ICP endeavors to identify gaps in current service provision, and due the fact that the program funding guidelines allow for flexibility around service provision, we are often able to arrange services to fill these identified gaps.
