Marymead's staff at Ricky Stuart House, a purpose built, state of the art facility in Chifley ACT, work with children, their families and support networks to ensure a collaborative relationship to achieve outcomes specific to each child.
Ricky Stuart House staff support kids to:
Short term accommodation (respite) for teenagers and young adults is provided within Coral's Cottage, located in Narrabundah ACT.
The aim is to ensure that each person's stay is enjoyable and has a focus on nurturing independence away from home.

When is accommodation normally available?
Children can access Ricky Stuart House either by coming for
a few hours after school, staying a night or staying a weekend. Accommodation
is available dependent upon bookings. Accessing Ricky Stuart House can be discussed
with the Accommodation and Services Coordinator or Unit Manager on an
individual basis.
Who is eligible?
A child between five and 12 years of age who has an
NDIS Plan. Alternatively, private fees can be arranged.
How do families book?
Families can begin by phoning Marymead on 1800 427 920 or 6162 5800
and speaking to one of our Intake Officers to determine your child’s level of
need and eligibility.
What are the payment options (NDIS or fee for service) and how does payment work?
Payment can be made through a child’s NDIS plan or
fees can be paid privately. Cost will be provided upon request.
What activities occur at Ricky Stuart House and Coral's Cottage?
Activities include water play, trampolining, bike riding, sand play, swings, going to a movie, a visit to the Zoo, Questacon, The National Dinosaur Museum, Sensory Room and the Boundless playground and other playgrounds across Canberra such as Kambah Park and Gordon playground.
