Discovering Relationships Using Music, Beliefs, Emotions, Attitudes and Thoughts.

This program encourages participants to build social skills, increase self-esteem and build healthy relationships through the use of hand drumming. Founded in 2003 by Holyoake, DRUMBEAT aims to build resilience by increasing ‘protective factors’ such as social connection, social skills and emotional control. By learning drumming songs, playing rhythm-based games, improvising and having conversations, participants improve their interpersonal and problem-solving skills and have increased self-awareness and emotional regulation.
