Skills Development / Community Engagement Unit Manager

I trained in social work at the University of NSW, subsequently working in a variety of community-based settings in Sydney and Canberra, including community housing, NSW Home Care and a variety of specialist disability services. Over many years I have developed particular interest and experience working with people with disability and their families.

I joined Marymead's Disability Support program in 2009 and have worked in a management capacity for the past five years. During this time I have had the opportunity to develop the mulch (Marymead's Urban Land Community Harvest) social enterprise as well as to be part of the organisation's preparation for, and transition to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

I am the Unit Manager Skills Development and Community Engagement, working to build on existing programs of Kids’ Companions, MOSHA (Marymead’s Outside School Hours Activities), mulch and the School Leavers’ Employment Service, as well as exploring expansion opportunities into other areas of service delivery.

I am particularly interested in social enterprise and community co-operative movements.
