Lego Builders Group

The LEGO® Builders’ Group is cancelled until further notice.

The LEGO® Builders’ Group is a free group for children aged 5 years and up on the autism spectrum and their siblings. Kids can come along and enjoy building something new or from the instructions while developing their problem solving, fine motor and social skills. Parents are encouraged to participate and chat with other parents.

The group runs every Thursday from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm at our office in Narrabundah. Bookings are essential, pending availability.

Dungeon & Dragons Social Group

Dungeons & Dragons is a role-playing game that has many benefits such as encouraging teamwork, collaboration, creativity, problem-solving and develops social skills in a fun and engaging way.

Sessions for existing group participants are now running online. The groups are currently full but if you can join the waitlist.

The Marymead CatholicCare Canberra & Goulburn Autism Centre’s Dungeons & Dragons program was a finalist in the 2017 ACT Chief Minister’s Inclusion Awards held on Thursday 14 December 2017.

Dungeons & Dragons is funded by:

  • ACT Health Community Assistance and Support Program (CASP)
  • NDIS fee for service (see FAQ below)
  • Donations and fundraising.

Lab Social Group

Autism Centre has started delivering a new technology club for kids on the autism spectrum, The Lab.

The Lab is a technology-based social group where participants can explore gaming, coding, digital design, and animation guided by mentors with technical expertise.

Sessions are on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm at Narrabundah.
