A four week group for parents to explore the role of being a parent in the lives of their children, understanding the developmental and emotional needs of children and young people, and strengthening positive family relationships.

The aim of the group is to encourage parents to explore and consider different ways to connect and have a relationship with their children, to have an empathetic view of their children’s emotional experience especially when there are difficulties in the relationship. We do this by first acknowledging the difficult job parenting can be at times, exploring the important role of self-care, uncovering the parenting strengths that are already present, as well as what parenting values are important them.

We assist parents with understanding their children’s developmental needs, and keeping this in mind when considering expectations and setting boundaries.
