Resilient Dads/Mums/carers is a four week group for Dads or Mums (groups run separately) hoping to better understand how self-care interacts with their own mental, physical, emotional and spiritual needs. We explore what looking after ourselves looks like, what the barriers are, and learn strategies to increase resilience and be the best person they can be.
The aim of the group is to encourage participants to explore four different domains of self-care. Each week is devoted to either mental, physical, emotion or spiritual needs. Exploring in depth what each need means to each individual; what it is, what’s missing, what’s already in place and any barriers. The group learns from each other, as well as from the material that is presented. A range of experiential opportunities are given to the participants, to find out what works for them personally.
