Marymead CatholicCare Canberra & Goulburn’s Supported Contact Program (currently offered in ACT and South Coast) provides a venue for supervised contact to take place between children and their non-residential parents.
The program is an independent, impartial service which aims to be fair, friendly and supportive. Staff aim to create a safe and friendly environment where parents and children can come and enjoy their time together. The focus is on the needs and best interests of the children, as well as supporting parents in identified areas.
Funding Bodies
The Australian Government Department of Social Services (DSS).
The ACT Office for Children, Youth and Family Support and the NSW Department of Community Services on a fee for service basis.
Who can use this service?
Parents can self-refer or referrals can be made by the family court or other related services.
The following criteria are considered:
ACT
Monday to Sunday, 9.00am-5.00pm (closed on public holidays).
The program operates from 255 Goyder Street. Narrabundah – Moruya, NSW South Coast
Wednesday to Sunday, 9.00am-5.00pm (closed on public holidays).
Changeovers occur within the hours of operation.
Fees
A limited number of fee free allocations are available. You will be placed on a waiting list if a place is not available. Fee for service places can be offered if your need is urgent.
