Susan is a consultant focusing on stakeholder engagement, service development and policy reform. She has 14 years of experience in executive roles in social service provision and leading community sector advocacy, 7 years of experience in public policy roles in ACT and Commonwealth Governments, and practiced for 7 years as a social worker in regional health, mental health and disability employment.
Growing up in the Northern Rivers of NSW, Susan is a proud graduate of the public school system and was a keen member of the P&Cs of Majura Primary School and Lyneham High School whilst her children were students. Susan studied Social Work and Social Policy at Sydney University before living and working in Central West NSW, Edinburgh Scotland and Long Island New York but has made her long-term home in Canberra.
Susan is a member of several not-for-profit social service organisation Boards, volunteering her time to ensure decision-making and resource allocation are aligned with strategic objectives, deliver value to their communities, contribute to positive social outcomes, ensure services are relevant and effective and sustain staff engagement and wellbeing in a constantly changing operating environment.
